HACIA JUEZ FEI DE ADIESTRAMIENTO
ON MY WAY TO FEI DRESSAGE JUDGE





Una gran oportunidad tuve durante la semana 5 del Global Dressage Festival de poder hacer una sesión de Juzgamiento en la Sombra y un Sit-In oficial con la juez FEI de Países Bajos, Mariette Sanders. Tuve la suerte también de hacer una práctica no oficial con el Juez FEI Stephen Clarke de Gran Bretaña. Gracias a Thomas Baur, Karen Pavicic y Lisa Oliver por toda la ayuda durante este viaje y a César Torrente por todas sus enseñanzas.

I had a great opportunity during week 5 of the Global Dressage Festival doing an official Shadow Judging and Sit-In with FEI Judge from the Netherlands, Mariette Sanders. Was lucky to do an unofficial practice with FEI Judge Stephen Clarke from Great Britain. Thank you, Thomas Baur, Karen Pavicic, and Lisa Oliver, for all the help during this trip and to César Torrente for all you have taught me.

Super fin de semana juzgando con Juez WAWE Antonio Vicente de Portugal y Carolina Barraquer en La Pradera de Potosí. Vimos excelentes binomios en todas las categorías, sobre todo en la Internacional, que fue la primera calificativa para el Campeonato Mundial del 2026.

Had a super weekend judging with WAWE Judge from Portugal Antonio Vicente and Carolina Barraquer in La Pradera de Potosí. We saw excellent combinations in all categories, mostly in the International Level, which was the first qualifier for the World Championships in 2026.

Desde el año pasado empecé el entrenamiento para volverme Juez y Delegada Técnica de Prueba Completa. Un agradecimiento muy especial al Delegado Técnico FEI Ricardo Pérez de México, por sus excelentes enseñanzas y a Carolina Barraquer por todo su apoyo.

Since last year I started training to become a Judge and Technical Delegate in Eventing. A special thank you to FEI Technical Delegate Ricardo Pérez from Mexico for his excellent teachings and to Carolina Barraquer for all her support.

PASO DE PISTA

Realizamos una muy buena actividad educativa de Paso de Pista el primer sábado del mes. Carolina Barraquer, Iván Tabosky y yo fuimos a juzgar a La Lomita, IKS, VTP y La Casona a evaluar binomios desde Entrenamiento hasta Intermedia I. Todos aprendimos mucho.

On Saturday, March 1st we had a great educational activity in a Ride-A-Test. Carolina Barraquer, Iván Tabosky and me went to judge at La Lomita, IKS, VTP and La Casona to evaluate combinations from Training Level to Inter I. We all learned a lot.

A principios del mes de marzo entrené los alumnos de Rosi (quien estaba enferma) en el concurso de Prueba Completa en el San Andrés Golf Club. Tomás (1ro AFE Menores), Greta (2da AFE Menores), Valeria, Patricia (1ra AFE Aficionados), Elissa (1ra CCI 2*) tuvieron un excelente desempeño.

At the beginning of the month, I trained Rosina's students *she was sick) at the Eventing show held at the San Andres Golf Club. Tomás (1st AFE Youth), Greta (2nd AFE Youth), Valeria, Patricia (1st AFE Amateur), Elissa (1st CCI 2*) had amazing performances.

Tuve el placer de ayudar a este par de talentosas alumnas de Rosi (que estaba enferma) en el concurso del Club Campestre Guaymaral. Luciana Olano en Gaitano ganó sus dos pruebas de Segundo Nivel y Laura Sofía Parra con Bismarck quedó en tercer puesto los dos días en Tercer Nivel, muy cerca de los jinetes profesionales. Después de ayudarles, juzgué el resto del evento y ayudé al Delegado Técnico. El concurso estuvo impecablemente organizado!

I had the pleasure of helping these couple of talented students from Rosina (who was sick) at the Dressage show held at Club Campestre Guaymaral. Luciana Olano on Gaitano won both her Second Level classes and Laura Sofía Parra on Bismarck got third place both days in Third Level, very close to the professionals. After helping them, I sat to judge the rest of the event and helped the Technical Delegate. The show was impeccably organized!

Y para concluir el mes reemplazando a Rosi, también estuve en Cali juzgando el Concurso Departamental en el Club Campestre de Cali. Como siempre muy bien organizado y con excelentes binomios en todas las categorías. Realizamos una mini clínica de revisión de videos que todos los jinetes aprovecharon para sus presentaciones del segundo día.

And to conclude a month replacing Rosi, I went also to Cali to judge a State Dressage show at the Club Campestre de Cali. Very well organized, as usual, and with excellent horse / rider combinations in all categories. We did a mini clinic reviewing the videos and all the riders took notes to improve their performances the second day.



ABRIL - APRIL



SIT-IN TERRANOVA





Gracias a la ayuda y colaboración de muchas personas, estuve en el CDI de Terranova a principios de abril, haciendo un Sit-In con el juez FEI Nivel 4 de Gran Bretaña, Clive Halsall. El resultado fue muy positivo.

Thanks to the help and collaboration of many people, I was at the Terranova CDI at the beginning of the month, doing a Sit-In with FEI Level 4 Judge Clive Halsall (GBR). The result was very positive.

Y todavía más agradecida con todos los que ayudaron para poder quedarme a hacer un Juzgamiento en la Sombra durante el CDI en el World Equestrian Centre de Ocala, una semana después del de Terranova. Tuve el honor de tener de mentor al juez FEI Nivel 4 de Suecia, Magnus Ringmark. El reporte fue excelente! Ahora me faltan los cursos (y pasar los exámenes) de Caballos Jóvenes y de Jueces FEI a fines de septiembre en Polonia.

And even more grateful with all who helped me to stay to do a Shadow Judging during the WEC CDI in Ocala, a week after Terranova. Had the honor to be mentored by FEI Level 4 Judge Magnus Ringmark (SWE). The report was excellent! I have now left the Young Horse and FEI Judges courses (and pass the exams) at the end of September in Poland.

AGOSTO - AUGUST



ACTUALIZACIÓN DE VIDA
LIFE UPDATE





Es increíble cómo pasa de rápido el tiempo y ver que no he actualizado ninguna noticia desde mayo...

En junio tuve clínica en Cali, clínica en Medellín y tuvimos concurso en el Club Campestre Guaymaral, fuera del trabajo de la Federación y de la Asociación de Lusitanos. En Julio tuve también clínica en el Valle dos veces: una al principio de 5 días y la otra de dos días, unida al viaje a juzgar el concurso de Equitación de Trabajo. En Medellín tuve una linda acogida a mediados del mes.
Agosto entró galopando lleno de trabajo, sobre todo enfocado al área de desarrollo de la FEC. Decidí asistir al FEI Dressage World Challenge alterno en las 3 sedes: Zona Centro, Antioquia y Valle para sentarme con los jueces Omar Zayrik (MEX Nivel 2) y Magnus Ringmar (SWE Nivel 4) a practicar para mis exámenes de Polonia a fines de septiembre. Fue un viaje pesado donde hice bastantes cosas ayudando en la organización y el entrenamiento de algunos jinetes. Es increíble ver el progreso de todos los binomios, en especial los que siguen el proceso con nuestro Asesor Técnico Nacional, Albrecht Heidemann.



SEPTIEMBRE - SEPTEMBER

Una semana intensa en Polonia con grandes resultados pues pasé ambos:

* Curso FEI de Caballos Jóvenes con Susanne Baarup y Raphael Saleh

Y el

* Curso de Transferencia a Juez FEI Nivel 1 (2*) con Hans-Christian Matthiesen y Christof Umbach.

Gracias a Anna Milne, Zosia Rucinska, la Federación Ecuestre Polaca, Cichon Dressage y todos los que ayudaron con la organización. Gracias infinitas a tantos que me han ayudado a través de los años con educación, apoyo y preparación!

A little update and appreciation post to all of you who sent me a message about my birthday 🎂. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Your kindness and love is so special to me 🤗❤️💕

I'm still busy with many things going on: Dressage Committee, Development and Education Committee, Para-Equestrian project, Judges Course, riding, coaching, taking pictures, managing media for @adiestramiento_colombia , @paraecuestrecolombia and @lusitanocolombia (Colombian Lusitano Breeders Association), publishing Colombia-Dressage magazine, enjoying life with family and friends.

This week I'm going to Peru as Dressage Chef D'Equipe for the Bolivarian Games, then clinic in Cali, Albrecht's last clinic of the year, and planning for next year's activities... Nonstop!!!

Sigo ocupada con muchas cosas al tiempo: Comité de Adiestramiento, Comité de Desarrollo y Educación, proyecto de Para-Ecuestres, curso de jueces, montando, entrenando, tomando fotos, manejando medios para Adiestramiento Colombia, Para-Ecuestres Colombia y la ACPSL, publicando la revista Colombia Dressage y disfrutando la vida con familia y amigos.

Esta semana salgo a Perú como Jefe de Equipo de Adiestramiento para Juegos Bolivarianos, después clínica en Cali, la última clínica del año de Albrecht y planear las actividades del próximo año... sin parar!!!

A little later than expected but it's finally out: the second edition of the magazine Colombia-Dressage in partnership with Harold Tascón and his company Ingeniería Gráfica.
It's a big effort to gather the information, write the articles, and share my pictures and, even if things don't go as well as planned, I'm very proud and happy to have been in this project.

Un poco más tarde de lo esperado pero ya está publicada la segunda edición de la revista Colombia-Dressage en sociedad con Harold Tascón y su empresa Ingeniería Gráfica.
Es un gran esfuerzo recopilar toda la información, escribir los artículos y compartir mis fotos y, aunque las cosas no van tan bien como se planea, estoy feliz y orgullosa de haber estado en este proyecto.
